Learn how to make a smooth and creamy chocolate frappé at home with simple ingredients, clear steps, and quick preparation for one serving.
The Process
Add Liquids: Pour 1 cup cold milk, vanilla extract, and chocolate syrup or dissolved cocoa into the blender. Starting with liquids helps the blender move smoothly and prevents ingredients from sticking.
Sweeten: Add 1 tbsp sugar first and adjust later based on your taste preference. This prevents the drink from becoming overly sweet.
Add Ice: Add 1 cup ice cubes to create the thick and icy frappé texture that makes the drink refreshing.
Blend: Blend for 30–45 seconds until the mixture becomes smooth, creamy, and free from large ice chunks.
Taste & Adjust: Taste the frappé and adjust if needed. Add sugar if it tastes bitter, add milk if too thick, or add more ice if too thin and blend again briefly.
Serve: Pour into a chilled glass and top with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle if desired for a coffee-shop presentation.
