Making jasmine tea at home is simple and relaxing. This guide shows clear steps, tools, timing, and a quick instant option for one cup.
The Process
Measure the Tea: Add 1 teaspoon of loose jasmine tea into a tea infuser or teapot. OR Place 1 jasmine tea bag into your cup.
Heat the Water: Heat 1 cup of water until it reaches 75–85°C (167–185°F). Do NOT use boiling water (100°C / 212°F), as it can make the tea bitter. Tip: If you do not have a thermometer, bring water to a boil, then let it sit for about 1–2 minutes.
Pour Water Over Tea: Slowly pour the hot water over the tea leaves or tea bag.
Steep: Let it steep for 2–3 minutes. Do not exceed 4 minutes, or the tea may become bitter.
Remove Tea: Remove the tea bag or strain the loose leaves.
Serve: Add honey or sugar if desired. Serve hot and enjoy the floral aroma.
