Ratio & Matter

  • Grind the Coffee Use a coarse grind similar to raw sugar or sea salt. A fine grind makes the drink cloudy and bitter, so keeping the grind large helps produce a clean and smooth flavor.
  • Mix Coffee & Water Add 30 g coffee into jar. Pour 300 ml cold filtered water. Stir gently until all grounds are wet. Avoid hot water because cold extraction creates the smooth taste nitro cold brew is known for.
  • Cold Brew Extraction Cover jar loosely and let steep 12–18 hours in refrigerator or room temperature. Flavor guide: 12 hrs → lighter, smoother 18 hrs → stronger, chocolatey
  • Filter the Coffee Strain through mesh sieve first. Filter again using paper filter or cheesecloth. This produces a clean cold brew concentrate that helps create better foam later.
  • Prepare for Nitrogen Infusion Pour filtered cold brew into whipped cream dispenser and fill only up to the max line for safety and proper pressure balance.
  • Charge with Nitrogen Insert N₂ cartridge. Screw charger until gas releases. Shake vigorously 20–30 times. Shaking helps nitrogen dissolve into the coffee evenly.
  • Chill & Rest (Optional but Recommended) Refrigerate dispenser 5–10 minutes to improve the cascading bubble effect when pouring.
  • Pour Like a Nitro Tap Hold glass at slight angle. Dispense slowly. Watch cascading bubbles form creamy foam head. You should see a waterfall-style visual effect.
